Nancy Hedberg, "Gardens as Art" Speaker at the Glenmore Garden Market

Nancy Hedberg  from Jonesborough will be a speaker at the Glenmore Garden Market on Saturday, May 5 on the grounds of the Glenmore Victorian Mansion in Jefferson City.

Nancy is, in her own words, "an artist first and second a gardener."  For those who have been fortunate to visit the Hedberg garden, it  is an artist's garden and a gardener's delight. Nancy uses  many heirloom plants to outline  an array of cobalt blue bottles. Nancy chooses just plants that she likes and enjoys.  It would be a delight to any gardener to have such a garden. It is truly beautiful.

Nancy's garden also features two small ponds: one in the ground, the other is a barrel pond. Also featured is an art glass mosaic walk and porch.

In addition to being an artist and gardener, Nancy is a wife, mother and teacher.

Glenmore's Garden Market lectures are funded by The Tennessee Arts Commission.
You are sure to enjoy the program Nancy will be presenting at the Glenmore Garden Market on May 5.  Many vendors with plants and garden related items will be at The Garden Market that will be open  from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Tennessee strawberries , lunch in the Tea Time Tent sponsored by Food City, strawberry shortcake and tours of the mansion will be available. Admission to the Market and lectures is free.  Glenmore Victorian Mansion is located at 1280 N. Chucky Pike,  near the Jefferson City Walmart. For more information please call 865-397-9050
